Newcastle United took the approach of working alongside Onyx Group’s solution architects to design and implement a scalable IT infrastructure that not only incorporated data centre services, but also the highest standard of internet connectivity and off-site IT disaster recovery.


Newcastle United are now hosting their high availability servers in Onyx Group’s Newcastle-based Data Centre. With failover servers hosted elsewhere across Onyx Group’s Data Centre estate, the club are able to eliminate any potential single-points of failure, allowing them to reach unrivalled levels of uptime.

Acting as the foundation of their solution, Onyx Group have designed and built a multi-site managed Wide Area Network (WAN) solution that integrated their sites with centralised resilient Data Centre hosting and Disaster Recovery. This provides the football club with an end-to-end managed service for their business.
